UNIPMA and Wates Village Administration of Panekan Establish Partnership for Computer Practical Examination and Computer-Assisted Test (CAT) in Village Official Recruitment
UNIPMA – Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), through its Digitalization and Computerization Division, has established a partnership with the Wates Village Administration, Panekan District, Magetan Regency, to organize a computer practical examination and a written examination using the Computer-Assisted Test (CAT) system for the recruitment of village officials. The collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in the Meeting Room of UNIPMA Campus 1 on Friday (June 26).
Under this agreement, UNIPMA’s Digitalization and Computerization Division has been entrusted as the team responsible for preparing the examination questions, conducting the computer practical examination, and administering the CAT-based written examination for the recruitment process of Wates Village officials.
The MoA signing ceremony was attended by the Head of UNIPMA’s Digitalization and Computerization Division Team, Andria, M.Kom., MTA, MCE, MOS, MTCRE, CITPM, MCF, OCP, along with team members Dr. Erawan Kurniadi, S.Si., M.Pd., Reza Kusuma Setyansah, M.Pd., MOS., Fajar Salistyo P., S.Kom., and Indra Wibisana. Representatives from UNIPMA’s Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKH), including Dr. Brigitta Septarini, M.Pd., were also present, together with officials from the Wates Village Administration, Panekan District, Magetan Regency.
The Head of UNIPMA’s Digitalization and Computerization Division Team, Andria, explained that this partnership reflects UNIPMA’s commitment to supporting effective village governance through the professional, objective, and accountable use of information technology.
“Through the Computer-Assisted Test (CAT) system, the entire recruitment process can be conducted more objectively, transparently, and measurably. In addition, the computer practical examination is designed to assess participants’ technical competencies in accordance with the requirements of village official positions. We ensure that every stage of the recruitment process is carried out professionally while upholding integrity, transparency, and accountability,” he said.
He added that UNIPMA’s Digitalization and Computerization Division is responsible not only for operating the CAT system but also for developing the examination instruments and serving as the examination panel for the computer practical test. This enables the entire recruitment process to be conducted in an integrated manner, from question development and examination implementation to the prompt, accurate, and accountable presentation of results.
The recruitment process is supported by a team with expertise in information technology, system security, and computer-based examination system development. Their competencies are further strengthened by various national and international professional certifications held by the team members, ensuring that the recruitment process meets professional standards.
Over the past several years, UNIPMA’s Digitalization and Computerization Division has been entrusted by various village administrations and government institutions to conduct CAT-based recruitment processes. This experience has become an important asset in delivering recruitment systems that are objective, transparent, effective, and efficient.
Through this collaboration, UNIPMA hopes that the implementation of the computer practical examination and CAT system will contribute to a more professional, accountable, and transparent recruitment process for village officials, free from practices that contradict the principles of good governance. This partnership also represents one of the university’s community engagement initiatives in supporting digital transformation within village administrations through the utilization of information technology.
