Rector of UNIPMA Opens 2026 Expo, Collaboration with BTPN Syariah Strengthens MSMEs to Level Up
UNIPMA — Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) together with BTPN Syariah held the MSME Expo 2026 at Graha Cendekia UNIPMA on Friday (3/7). This event is a follow-up to the collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNIPMA and BTPN Syariah in empowering ultra-micro business actors through Project-Based Learning (PjBL).
The expo serves as the culmination of student mentoring for MSME partners supported by BTPN Syariah over one semester. Through this program, students directly apply entrepreneurship knowledge by helping business owners develop marketing strategies, improve product packaging, and expand market access.
The event was opened by the Rector of UNIPMA, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., accompanied by the Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. Marheny Lukitasari, M.Pd., Dean of FEB Dr. Anggita Langgeng Wijaya, S.E., M.Si., Ak., C.A., CPA., CRMP., as well as FEB lecturers. Also present were BTPN Syariah delegates, namely Vini Daru Perdana, Alina Hadianti, Mohamad Faathir Al Hakim, Mahardyastika Laksmita Arnanda, Dayinta Prakasita, and Alfatelsa Purwandani.
In his remarks, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. emphasized that universities must be able to provide real solutions to society through the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi). “Universities do not only produce graduates, but must also have an impact on society. Through MSME mentoring and collaboration with BTPN Syariah, students are expected to gain direct experience in the world of work,” he said.
He added that the implementation of Project-Based Learning is part of the effort to realize the concept of an Impactful Campus, while also encouraging students to solve real problems in society.
A representative of BTPN Syariah, Vini Daru Perdana, said that the collaboration provides benefits for both students and ultra-micro business actors.
“Students gain direct entrepreneurial experience through mentoring business owners. On the other hand, this program helps our customers expand market access, increase turnover, income, and the number of customers,” she said.
The products exhibited came from MSMEs under BTPN Syariah guidance in Taman, Wungu, Gemarang, Mejayan, and Saradan districts. Most of them are food and beverage products, as well as regional flagship products such as clove oil.
Going forward, BTPN Syariah hopes the collaboration with UNIPMA will continue annually. Meanwhile, UNIPMA opens opportunities to expand cooperation through joint research and community service programs to support the development of assisted MSMEs.
