UNIPMA Partners with International Test Center to Strengthen Students’ IT Competencies and Certification
UNIPMA—Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has established a partnership with PT International Test Center (ITC) Indonesia to strengthen students’ competencies through IT training and certification. The partnership was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) at the Rectorate Meeting Room, Campus 1 of UNIPMA, Wednesday (12/8).
The PKS was signed by UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., together with a representative of PT International Test Center. Through this partnership, UNIPMA students will have the opportunity to participate in training and competency certification related to the needs of the workforce.
The partnership also covers the implementation of competency assessments as part of efforts to improve students’ readiness to enter the industrial and business sectors. Certification is expected to serve as evidence of the competencies possessed by students when they enter the job market.
With skills measured through certification, students are expected to have better preparation to compete in the job market.
The partnership between UNIPMA and ITC is also linked to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on quality education, SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth, and SDG 17 on partnerships for the goals.
From an educational perspective, access to training and certification provides students with an opportunity to objectively measure their competencies. Meanwhile, from an employment perspective, standardized competencies are expected to strengthen graduates’ readiness to meet industry needs.
This partnership is part of UNIPMA’s efforts to expand its network with professional partners. The collaboration is directed not only toward students but may also provide benefits for the development of lecturers and the institution.
