UNIPMA Information Systems Study Program Holds SENDIKO 2026, Discussing AI Innovation and Challenges in the Smart Society Era
UNIPMA – The Information Systems Study Program of the Faculty of Engineering at PGRI Madiun University (UNIPMA), in collaboration with the Information Systems Student Association (MASIF), held the 2026 National Seminar on Research and Community Service Outcomes in Computer Science (SENDIKO) via Zoom on Saturday (June 27). The seminar carried the theme, "Artificial Intelligence in Information Systems: Technological Innovation, Ethics, and Implementation Challenges in the Smart Society Era."
The event is an annual agenda of the Information Systems Study Program, aimed at providing a platform for academics and practitioners to publish research findings, present innovations in the field of information technology, and expand collaborative networks.
The seminar featured three speakers: Dr. Noven Indra Prasetya, S.Kom., M.Kom. from Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya, and Angga Riyandi Saputra, S.Kom., an AI Educator and Practitioner. The session was moderated by Andria, M.Kom., from UNIPMA.
The Chair of the SENDIKO 2026 Organizing Committee, Dimas Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., stated that the entire series of activities was carried out according to plan. The event included participant registration, the opening ceremony, keynote presentations, paper presentation sessions, and the closing ceremony.
"The 2026 National Seminar on Research and Community Service Outcomes in Computer Science (SENDIKO) was successfully conducted in an orderly manner and in accordance with the planned schedule," he said.
The enthusiasm of the participants also demonstrated that the seminar served as an effective platform for disseminating research and community service outcomes in the field of computer science. A total of 150 participants attended SENDIKO 2026. The organizing committee received 59 scientific papers submitted by authors from 11 universities across Indonesia.
SENDIKO 2026 was also supported by five universities serving as co-hosts: STMIK AMIKOM Surakarta, PGRI Ronggolawe University (UNIROW), Nusantara PGRI University Kediri, Duta Bangsa University Surakarta, and Telkom University Purwokerto. This collaboration strengthened inter-institutional partnerships while supporting the successful implementation of the seminar.
Dimas Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., added that coordination among the organizing committee, speakers, moderator, and co-host institutions ran smoothly, enabling all scheduled activities to be conducted as planned.
Through SENDIKO 2026, the UNIPMA Information Systems Study Program continues to promote the development of research, community service, and collaboration between higher education institutions and industry practitioners in responding to technological advancements, particularly the application of artificial intelligence in the smart society era.
Registration for new students in the Regular Program and the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Program for the 2026/2027 Academic Year is now officially open.
