Faculty of Engineering at UNIPMA Aligns Work Programs and Strengthens Quality Assurance Implementation for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

UNIPMA – The Faculty of Engineering (FT) at PGRI Madiun University (UNIPMA) has begun aligning its policy direction and performance targets through the 2026–2027 Academic Year Work Program and Quality Assurance Socialization, held at the Faculty of Engineering Auditorium on Thursday (July 2). The event served as a coordination forum for all faculty members to ensure that every program is implemented in accordance with established quality standards.

The socialization was attended by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Wildanul Isnaini, S.T., M.Sc., the Head of the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit, Slamet Riyanto, S.T., M.M., heads and secretaries of study programs, lecturers, and administrative staff within the Faculty of Engineering.

In addition to presenting the faculty’s work program for the upcoming academic year, the event also discussed the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) as the primary framework for carrying out the university’s three core missions—education, research, and community service. By establishing a shared understanding, each unit is expected to clearly recognize its performance targets, key success indicators, and strategic actions needed to align with the vision of both the faculty and the university.

Slamet Riyanto, S.T., M.M., emphasized that educational quality cannot be separated from the consistent implementation of quality assurance. “We will not produce competitive graduates unless we implement quality assurance creatively and innovatively,” he stated.

According to him, graduate quality is the result of a systematic educational process that begins with planning, continues through implementation and evaluation, and concludes with continuous improvement. Therefore, successful quality assurance requires the active involvement of the entire academic community, including university leaders, study programs, lecturers, and administrative personnel.

The forum also served as a platform for inter-unit coordination to formulate strategies for improving academic services, organizational governance, research, community engagement, and the achievement of the faculty’s key performance indicators. The discussions provided participants with opportunities to develop a shared understanding while contributing constructive feedback on the implementation of programs for the upcoming academic year.

Dr. Wildanul Isnaini, S.T., M.Sc., expressed his hope that the socialization would go beyond simply disseminating information and would instead be effectively implemented within each work unit. “In this way, both academic and non-academic services can be delivered in accordance with the established quality standards,” he said.

Through this initiative, the Faculty of Engineering at UNIPMA reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening institutional governance and quality assurance systems as part of its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of higher education. The synergy of the entire academic community is expected to support the development of competent, professional graduates who are competitive at both the national and international levels.
