UNIPMA — The Accounting Education Study Program Student Association (Himadiksi) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) encouraged students of SMKN 1 Geger, Madiun, to deepen their understanding of accounting through the Financial Literacy Go To School** program. The activity, held on Thursday (13/8), also served as an opportunity to introduce the Accounting Education Study Program to students.**

The activity, titled Financial Literacy Go To School through Basic Accounting Equation Counseling, targeted students of SMKN 1 Geger who major in Accounting. The school was selected based on the field of study pursued by its students, allowing the materials provided to serve as additional reinforcement of their understanding of accounting concepts.

The activity began with a presentation on the Basic Accounting Equation delivered by Stevia and April. The students were then invited to participate in a quiz using Quizizz to assess their understanding of the material presented.

The next agenda was a socialization session about the Accounting Education Study Program led by the Head of the Accounting Education Study Program, Dr. Nur Wahyuning Sulistyowati, S.E., M.Pd. The information provided students with an overview of higher education opportunities in the field of accounting. The activity then continued with an interactive question-and-answer session.

The Teacher Coordinator of SMKN 1 Geger, Rumini, S.Pd., welcomed the activity. The school expressed its appreciation for the financial literacy program and the opportunity provided for students to receive additional learning in the field of accounting.

The General Chairperson of Himadiksi, Angelina Bertha Aprilya Putri Sabrina, said that the activity was a Himadiksi work program, not a community service grant from any party.

“The Basic Accounting Equation material is expected to help students strengthen their understanding of accounting concepts that they have learned at school,” said Angelina.

The activity was accompanied by Dr. Nur Wahyuning Sulistyowati, S.E., M.Pd., and Dr. Liana Vivin Wihartanti, S.Pd., M.Pd. Their guidance supported the implementation of an activity that combined accounting education with an introduction to higher education.

The Financial Literacy Go To School program will next be held at several other schools. The activities are expected to expand the reach of education on financial literacy and accounting.

“This activity is expected to broaden students’ knowledge of financial literacy and accounting and provide benefits for both students and schools,” Angelina concluded.
