UNIPMA — The Student Executive Board (BEM) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held the Intermediate-Level Student Management Skills Training (LKMM-TM) to improve students’ abilities in managing organizations, making decisions, and developing data-based actions.

The event, themed “Restructuring Critical Thinking: Building Organizational Resilience Through Data-Based Management and Action,” was held on Saturday (15/8) at Rooms A.313–314, 3rd Floor, Campus 1 of UNIPMA. The event was attended by 43 participants and the BEM UNIPMA Advisor, Dr. Elly’s Mersina Mursidik, M.Pd.

LKMM-TM Committee Chair Rizki Arum Ningtias said the event served as a platform for students to improve their organizational management skills while developing critical thinking in addressing various issues.

“Participants are expected to be able to manage organizations based on data, make appropriate decisions, and turn ideas into concrete actions,” Rizki said.

According to Rizki, the theme was chosen because organizational management requires the ability to critically assess situations. The use of data is also considered important to ensure that decisions are not based solely on assumptions.

BEM UNIPMA Advisor Dr. Elly’s Mersina Mursidik, M.Pd., in her remarks, also emphasized the importance of critical thinking in running an organization. She reminded participants that organizational decisions should take into account data and actual conditions in the field.

“Every decision within an organization is expected to be based not only on assumptions, but also supported by data and actual conditions in the field,” said Dr. Elly’s Mersina Mursidik, M.Pd.

To strengthen participants’ skills, the committee invited five speakers with different areas of expertise. Rahardian Putra, a young entrepreneur from UGM, delivered a session on Organizational Development Planning (RPO).

Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd., a postgraduate lecturer at UNIPMA, presented material on Decision-Making and Conflict Management. Haidar Fillah Muhyiddin, the 2025 Student President, delivered a session on Networking and Advocacy Lobbying.

The session on Motivation Control and Group Dynamics was delivered by Guntur Ega Pratama, the 2026 Student President. Meanwhile, Ahmad Farid Saputra, Minister of Strategic Issues Studies at BEM UNIPMA 2026, discussed Action Management.

Rizki hopes that the material provided will not stop at theoretical understanding but can be applied by participants in running their organizations. These skills are expected to help students address organizational challenges in a more responsive and focused manner.

“Hopefully, participants can apply the knowledge gained from this activity in running their organizations and contributing to the sustainability of BEM,” he said.
